The Nitro Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Sissonville Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Saturday, Nitro suffered a tough 69-46 loss at the hands of East Fairmont.
Nitro's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Karson Jones, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds, and Hailey Newsome who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sissonville beat St. Joseph Central 49-45 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sissonville.
Sissonville can attribute much of their success to Kynadee Britton, who scored 25 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Britton has scored at least 25% of Sissonville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makinley Britton, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Nitro's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sissonville, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Things could have been worse for Nitro, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-26 loss to Sissonville in their previous meeting back in February. Can Nitro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
