On Friday Elkins take on West Fork at 7:00 PM. Elkins have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Elkins had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They had enough points to win and then some against Greenland last Friday, taking their match 48-28. No one had a better game by the numbers than junior Quinn Mcclain, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 109 yards on the ground and accumulated 217 passing yards.
Meanwhile, West Fork couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Berryville, falling 14-28.
Elkins's victory lifted them to 1-0 while West Fork's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Elkins can add another positive mark to their record or if West Fork can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Elkins's step.
