Buckeye barely beat Many the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Panthers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Buckeye is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Many, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-15.

Buckeye and Many should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 42nd) will meet Pickering (ranked 305th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Many will challenge Hemphill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (151 vs. 716).
