Torrington is 2-8 against the Greyhounds since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Torrington Raiders will be playing at home against the Naugatuck Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. Torrington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 433 points over their last six games.
Even though Ansonia scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, Torrington still came out on top. Torrington enjoyed a cozy 74-57 win over the Chargers.
Torrington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Parkhouse, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 4 assists. Another player making a difference was Isaac Fenn, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Naugatuck strolled past the Red Raiders with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 62-46. The win was just what Naugatuck needed coming off of a 71-49 loss in their prior game.
Torrington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Naugatuck, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Torrington didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Greyhounds when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 68-63 victory. Will Torrington repeat their success, or do the Greyhounds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
