Thunder Ridge has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Osborne Bulldogs on Tuesday. Thunder Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Osborne is ranked 83rd).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-29, which was the final score in Thunder Ridge's tilt against Northern Valley on Friday. Thunder Ridge has struggled against Northern Valley recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Osborne waltzed into their game Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Tescott 65-37 on the road. Osborne's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Thunder Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Osborne, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Things could have been worse for Thunder Ridge, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-41 loss to Osborne when the teams last played back in January. Can Thunder Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
