Derrick Butler posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
