With a playoff game on the line, the Brookfield Bobcats rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of  61-54.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brookfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Shane Weber, who  scored 28 points. That makes it 21 consecutive games in which  Weber has scored at least a third of Brookfield's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Danny Ciriello, who  scored 19 points along with two  steals.
 Brookfield's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Branford, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record  this season.
 Brookfield will head out on the road to  square off against  Bunnell at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Brookfield knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Bunnell likes a good challenge. Branford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
