The New Albany Bulldogs suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 67-19 loss at the hands of Ingomar. New Albany has not had much luck with Ingomar recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Macie Phifer was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points for Ingomar. Daylen Grisham was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five steals.
New Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Ingomar, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
New Albany will be playing in front of their home fans against North Pontotoc at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Pontotoc presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than New Albany in Mississippi (North Pontotoc is ranked 76th, while New Albany is ranked 222nd). Ingomar won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against East Union at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. East Union is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
