Parkside came out on top against Wicomico on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Rams were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Indians. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Parkside is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wicomico, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Parkside and Wicomico could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings. The Rams (ranked 66th) will meet Decatur (ranked 15th) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wicomico will take on Bennett at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (180 vs. 45).
