 On the hitting side,  Gavin Byrd and  Conor Browne did most of the damage at the plate:  Byrd  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with a  stolen base and  an  RBI, while  Browne  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Colby Brewington, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Mulberry's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 8-5. As for Lakeland Christian,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-2.
 Mulberry will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Upper Arlington at 7:00  p.m. Mulberry is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.9  runs per game this season. As for Lakeland Christian, they will head out on the road to  take on  Auburndale at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Lakeland Christian is facing Auburndale at the right time seeing as Auburndale is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
