A well-balanced attack led ITW David Speer Academy over Golder in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that ITW David Speer Academy blew Golder out of the water with a 60-14 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point ITW David Speer Academy had established a 22 point advantage.
ITW David Speer Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yarilyn Figueroa, who scored 13 points along with five steals. Figueroa hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Samantha Grullon was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six steals and two blocks.
Lake View can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They blew past Senn 47-26. The win was just what Lake View needed coming off of a 52-16 loss in their prior contest.
Lake View got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Imariz Duran out in front who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jada Marrero, who scored 17 points.
ITW David Speer Academy's record now sits at 13-4. As for Lake View, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
