Northridge put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Logansport 39-3 on the road. Northridge pushed the score to 32-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Logansport had no chance of recovering from.
McClain Miller was a one-man wrecking crew for Northridge as he rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. Miller was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Sherwood, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Wawasee's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 35-26 victory over South Bend Riley.
Hunter Tinkey went supernova for Wawasee, rushing for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Donovan Blair also helped out with an impressive 91 receiving yards.
Northridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Wawasee, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
Northridge was able to grind out a solid win over Wawasee when the teams last played back in September, winning 14-7. Will Northridge repeat their success, or does Wawasee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
