The Mountain Home Tigers will head out on the road to  challenge  the Wood River Wolverines at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the pair posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
 Having struggled with four  losses in a row, Mountain Home finally turned things around against Filer  on Tuesday. Mountain Home came out on top against Filer by a score of  10-7.
  Stacie Kelley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Orie Rau was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to  home runs, as she's  now  launched  at least one in the last three games she's  played.  Ava Johnson was another key contributor,  going 1-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Wood River has not done well against Jerome recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. Wood River narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Jerome  10-9. The  victory was some much needed relief for Wood River as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
  Paityn Nelson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out seven batters over  6.2 innings while giving up  four earned  (and five unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Nelson was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Faith Enderle, who  went 1-for-4 with a  home run and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Marlee McLean, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Mountain Home's record is now 3-15-1. As for Wood River, their record is now 11-6.
 Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Friday. Mountain Home hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 0.8  home runs per game. However, it's not like Wood River struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 0.9. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
