The Enumclaw Hornets will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Kennedy Catholic Lancers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy Catholic took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Enumclaw, who comes in off a win.
Two weeks ago, everything came up roses for Enumclaw on the road against Clover Park as the team secured a 76-44 victory. The win was just what Enumclaw needed coming off of a 62-29 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Kennedy Catholic was beaten by Archbishop Murphy 64-37 on Friday.
Despite the loss, Kennedy Catholic saw an underclassman step up: Gabriela King scored six points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Paige Nadarski, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
The win got Enumclaw back to even at 1-1. As for Kennedy Catholic, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-4.
Enumclaw took their win against Kennedy Catholic when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 54-34. Will Enumclaw repeat their success, or does Kennedy Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
