The Tampa Prep Terrapins scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Carrollwood Day 62-44. That looming 62-44 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Tampa Prep yet this season.
Tampa Prep can attribute much of their success to Treniti Fluker, who scored 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fluker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Green, who scored ten points.
Carrollwood Day's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leighann Hanley, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. Gianna Miller was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 13 rebounds.
Tampa Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Carrollwood Day, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-7.
Tampa Prep will take on Winthrop College Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Winthrop College Prep Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 324th, while Tampa Prep is ranked 113th). As for Carrollwood Day, they will head out on the road to face off against Academy of the Holy Names at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
