Shipley are taking a road trip to challenge the Hill School Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Shipley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Friends' Central on Friday as they made off with a 19-10 win. With that victory, Shipley brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.
Madison Fusaro spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and eight unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Shipley got a massive performance out of Ashley McCauley, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with six runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. With that strong performance, McCauley is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Wilhelm, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs.
Meanwhile, Hill School entered their tilt with Peddie on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 14-4 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Jill Patel looked comfortable as she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits.
At the plate, Willow Gall was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Meghan Ward also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Hill School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peddie only posted an OBP of .400.
Hill School's record is now 4-2. As for Shipley, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Shipley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Hill School struggles in that department as they've averaged .401. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Shipley beat Hill School 9-5 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shipley since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
