There's no place like home for Whitko, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   5-1  win over the Peru Tigers  on Friday. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the   7-5 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2024.

 Addie Garr spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Whitko's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 16-7. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Peru,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 10-10.
 Whitko does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Peru has  already played their next  matchup (against Tipton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
