Zachary had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers as they made off with a 14-4 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 last Tuesday.

Zachary's victory bumped their record up to 19-12-1. As for Woodlawn-B.R., they dropped their record down to 4-19 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Zachary is set to face off against their familiar foe Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Broncos 2.6, the Wildcats 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Woodlawn-B.R. will take on rival Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
