Sublette has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Wichita County Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sublette will be strutting in after a win while Wichita County will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Sublette beat Southwestern Heights 53-44.
Meanwhile, Wichita County struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (Dighton had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Wichita County's rough 59-33 defeat to Dighton might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wichita County has scored all season.
Despite their loss, Wichita County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Colton Harbin, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Leonardo Alvarado, who scored eight points.
The win got Sublette back to even at 8-8. As for Wichita County, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Sublette against Wichita County in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 67-39 win. Will Sublette repeat their success, or does Wichita County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
