The Rubidoux Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Patriot Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rubidoux will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Rubidoux is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 32-11 margin over Jurupa Valley on Friday.

Rubidoux can attribute much of their success to Joshua Green, who rushed for 123 yards and two TDs on only eight carries, and Jesus Vasquez, who gained 119 total yards and a touchdown. Those 123 rushing yards gave Green a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rubidoux was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 74.2 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five games they've averaged 251.3.
Rubidoux didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alberto Guizar and Steve Mendez. Another thorn in Jurupa Valley's side was Bryan Castaneda-Sevilla, who picked up two sacks and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Patriot came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Braves with points to spare, taking the game 28-13.
Rubidoux better keep an eye on Nathan Villanueva. He was instrumental in Patriot's win, rushing for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 88 yards and one TD on only eight passes. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Villanueva posted at least 103 rushing yards in the fourth games prior.
Rubidoux's record is now 2-5. As for Patriot, their record now sits at 6-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Rubidoux has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 150.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Patriot struggles in that department as they've been averaging 302.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Rubidoux was dealt a bruising 49-0 loss at the hands of Patriot when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Falcons, Josiah Felix (who rushed for 182 yards and four scores on only ten carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
