Caitlin Beaucage was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sylvia Cull, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-6.
Blue Hills RVT was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .438 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Blue Hills RVT's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.7 runs over those games. As for Old Colony RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Old Colony RVT hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Blue Hills RVT struggles in that department as they've averaged .541. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
