Softball Recap: Delcambre Now 10-3 over Last 13 Games

Delcambre lost to Port Barre back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 11-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Delcambre is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Port Barre, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Delcambre wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-3 win against Jeanerette on the 8th. As for Port Barre, they will square off against Westgate at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
