The Bishop Gorman Gaels will square off against the Chatfield Chargers at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Bishop Gorman is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Arbor View, who was ranked third at the time (Bishop Gorman was ranked 23rd). Bishop Gorman came out on top against Arbor View by a score of 13-10 on Friday.
Hudson Ciulla looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nolan Eberwein, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jonas Yatson, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
Bishop Gorman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arbor View only managed ten hits.
Meanwhile, Chatfield put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against Eaglecrest. While the Chargers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Brody Logan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Logan was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run. Those hits marked the first that he got this season.
In other batting news, Colin Metz was incredible, firing off three home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times he's played.
Chatfield's record is now 4-0. As for Bishop Gorman, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
