The GVCS Broadfording Lions will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Musselman Applemen at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. GVCS Broadfording will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 103rd in Maryland, while Musselman is ranked 28th in West Virginia).
On Tuesday, GVCS Broadfording came up short against Shalom Christian Academy and fell 42-33.
Meanwhile, Musselman can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Moorefield 53-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Musselman has posted since December 1, 2023.
GVCS Broadfording's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Musselman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
GVCS Broadfording came up short against Musselman in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 45-33. Can GVCS Broadfording avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
