Highland has gone a perfect 6-0 against The Covenant School recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Highland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Highland was able to grind out a solid win over DeMatha, taking the game 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.
Matthew McCauley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Hudson, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Quinn Peck also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, The Covenant School hadn't done well against St. Anne's-Belfield recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Saints.
Brennan Dalton and McKinley Pattie dominated on the mound. Dalton tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits, while Pattie pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.
On the hitting side, Jonathan Albert was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Highland's record now sits at 16-7. As for The Covenant School, their record is now 15-5.
Highland beat The Covenant School 5-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
