The Tilden Blue Devils lost against Medgar Evers College Prep back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Tilden took a hard 62-46 fall against Medgar Evers College Prep. While losing is never fun, Tilden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 780th, while Medgar Evers College Prep is ranked 232nd).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Medgar Evers College Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. The match was Edwards' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Dejon Williams was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Tilden and nudges their season record down to 1-8. As for Medgar Evers College Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tilden will square off against Prospect Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Medgar Evers College Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Goldstein at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
