Austin Classical scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the Hill Country Christian Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-37 last Saturday.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Hamilton, who posted 11 points in addition to three steals and three blocks. Meredith Scott was another key player, putting up 12 points and five blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Austin Classical and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Hill Country Christian, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Austin Classical wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-28 victory against Our Lady of the Hills on the 28th. As for Hill Country Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-40 win against Cornerstone Christian on the 31st.
