The Organ Mountain Knights will square off against the Farmington Scorpions at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Organ Mountain knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Farmington likes a good challenge.

Hannah Justus made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That hit was her first of the season. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Siennah Otero, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Leah Melero, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Organ Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .467 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Farmington was able to grind out a solid win over Artesia on Friday, taking the game 8-4.
Annaleese Armstrong was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Taelor Joe was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
Organ Mountain's record now sits at 3-1. As for Farmington, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Organ Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .496. However, it's not like Farmington struggles in that department as they've averaged .364. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Organ Mountain took their victory against Farmington in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Does Organ Mountain have another victory up their sleeve, or will Farmington turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
