Word of God Academy secured a 38-33 W over Shreveport HomeSchool Sports on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Word of God Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Word of God Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taj Bell, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Bell has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyere Cartwright, who scored nine points along with six steals.
Shreveport HomeSchool Sports lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaac Gilman, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Aidan Armstrong, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Word of God Academy pushed their record up to 13-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Shreveport HomeSchool Sports, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.
