Danville is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Cascade is on a 15-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Warriors will welcome the Cadets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Danville got the win against Living Water Homeschool by a conclusive 8-2.

Autumn Muncy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Cassie Thompson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Piper Whitson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Danville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Cascade made easy work of Frankfort on Wednesday and carried off a 17-1 win. That looming 17-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cadets yet this season.
Lacie Godby made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Godby was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three runs and one double.
In other batting news, Macey Pugh was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Suzy Moore, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Cascade's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Danville, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Danville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Cascade struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Danville couldn't quite get it done against Cascade in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 6-2. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
