Evadale is 3-0 against Vidor since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Evadale Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vidor Pirates at 6:45 p.m. Evadale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 719th, while Vidor is ranked 161st).
Last Tuesday, Evadale didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lumberton, but they still walked away with a 44-38 victory.
Meanwhile, Vidor unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Port Arthur Memorial by a score of 43-41. Vidor has struggled against Port Arthur Memorial recently, as their match on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Vidor's loss came about despite a quality game from Raegan Stephenson, who scored 16 points. Stephenson scored a full 39% of Vidor's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Laikyn Brodnax, who scored 5 points.
The victory got Evadale back to even at 2-2. As for Vidor, their loss dropped their record down to 10-1.
Evadale strolled past Vidor when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 50-34. Will Evadale repeat their success, or does Vidor have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
