The Pleasanton Eagles entered their tilt with the Blanco Panthers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Pleasanton snuck past Blanco with a 41-36 win on Tuesday. 41 seems to be a good number for Pleasanton as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
When it comes to explaining why Blanco lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mina Broyles. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Broyles is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Candice Lopez, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Pleasanton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for Blanco, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
Pleasanton will be home for the holidays to greet Carrizo Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Blanco will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Luling at 6:15 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Luling focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Friday.
