Riverside is 9-1 against Camden Central since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 6:45 p.m. Camden Central took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverside, who comes in off a win.
Riverside's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Liberty Tech Magnet as they made off with a 20-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Cole Yarbro looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Riverside's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 3-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't).
At the plate, Riverside got a massive performance out of Anderson Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Thompson has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Connor Newberry, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Riverside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .760. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Camden Central duked it out with Waverly Central on Wednesday. The Lions lost 8-1 to the Tigers. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gage Johnson put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
Johnson wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jonderek Greer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
The win got Riverside back to even at 8-8. As for Camden Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Riverside beat Camden Central 4-1 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
