Braintree and Newton North squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Braintree had to settle for second. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newton North Tigers. The Wamps' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Braintree's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Newton North, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 23-1.

As of now, neither Braintree nor Newton North have any future games scheduled.
