Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Georgia-Cumberland Academy). They walked away with an 83-76 win over the Georgia Force Christian Blue Knights on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-57 back in November.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Samms, who posted 30 points. Samms continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Carter, who earned 23 points.

When it comes to explaining why Georgia Force Christian lost, don't look at CJ Britt. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 19 on his way to 29 points along with six boards and four steals. The contest was Britt's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter McCarn, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Georgia Force Christian, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgia-Cumberland Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against CSTHEA at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
