Basketball Recap: David Mulder and Brady Reinertson Secure Win for Community Christian

After losing to Immanuel Lutheran the last time they met, Community Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Community Christian put the hurt on the Immanuel Lutheran Trojans with a sharp 53-28 victory on Monday. Community Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Community Christian to victory were Brady Reinertson and David Mulder. Reinertson went 9 for 20 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals, while Mulder made all 7 shots he took to post 16 points and six steals. Reinertson is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Borstad, who posted nine points.

Community Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Immanuel Lutheran, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against First Baptist at 6:45 p.m. on January 13, 2025. Immanuel Lutheran also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Prior Lake Christian at 6:45 p.m. on February 4, 2025.
