The Perham Yellowjackets entered their tilt with the Holdingford Huskers with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Perham came out on top against Holdingford by a score of 67-57 on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Willow Thiel was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Perham's points. Another player making a difference was Kaia Anderson, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Perham's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. As for Holdingford, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perham and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 328 points over their last five matches. As for Holdingford, they will be playing at home against Kimball at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
