The Miller City Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Continental Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Miller City not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on McComb with a sharp 3-0 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-17.

Miller City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Libby Erford led the charge by getting 20 digs. Erford is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 18 or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Katem Schroeder, who had ten assists and four digs.
Miller City was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 10-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Continental got the win against Cory-Rawson on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.
Continental not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Cory-Rawson between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-19.
Miller City's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Continental, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: Miller City has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 11.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Continental struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.7 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Miller City's way against Continental when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Miller City made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
