Chardon has won three straight games at home, while Perry has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers will welcome the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Chardon 4, Perry 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Friday, Chardon was able to grind out a solid win over Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, taking the game 5-2.
Alexa Anderson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Anderson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Hope, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Perry's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Morgan Winters spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
Perry's loss dropped their record down to 20-3. As for Chardon, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Chardon has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Perry struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Chardon came out on top in a nail-biter against Perry when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Hilltoppers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
