Hayden Sladewski looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Steven Nicklas, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Scotia-Glenville, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Glens Falls has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .437. However, it's not like Scotia-Glenville struggles in that department as they've averaged .439. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
