On Saturday, Turpin strolled past Indian Hill with points to spare, taking the game 57-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Turpin.
Turpin had a senior duo take command as Sophia Schiano scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals and Kyla Zananiri scored 17 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Schiano has scored at least 25% of Turpin's points. Avery Ackel was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 4 steals.
Turpin's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Indian Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turpin will face off against Lebanon at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Indian Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Mercy McAuley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
