The Farrell Steelers had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 85-39 win over Reynolds. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-14.
Farrell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dontaye Bell, who scored 15 points. Julius Phillips Jr was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Farrell's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0. As for Reynolds, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Farrell will be home for the holidays to greet West Middlesex at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reynolds, they will head out on the road to face off against Jamestown at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamestown comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
