The Heritage Preparatory Rams will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Cottage Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Neither Heritage Preparatory nor Cottage posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.
Back in November, Heritage Preparatory earned a 18-6 victory over Stonehaven. The victory was just what Heritage Preparatory needed coming off of a 40-18 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Cottage unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a serious blow against St. John Bosco Academy, falling 51-17. Cottage was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-3.
The losing side was boosted by Alyssa Briggs, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. She scored a full 88.2% of Cottage's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win got Heritage Preparatory back to even at 1-1. As for Cottage, they bumped their record down to 5-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
