Westview is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Jesuit is on a 16-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Westview Wildcats will take on the Jesuit Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Jesuit is ranked 14th).
Last Tuesday, Westview ended up a good deal behind Beaverton and lost 68-52. Westview has struggled against Beaverton recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Westview saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Delaney Logan, who scored 19 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleah Medeiros, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Jesuit scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Aloha, posting a 70-25 victory at home. Jesuit has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Westview has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Jesuit, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Westview was dealt a bruising 67-30 loss at the hands of Jesuit in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Westview was down 40-10.
