The Walnut Ridge Scots pushed their score all the way to 61 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-61 to Dunbar. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Walnut Ridge of the 59-49 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2015.

Eric Brewer jr was his usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with seven rebounds and two steals for Dunbar. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brewer jr has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jimmy Hill iv, who scored 19 points along with four steals.
Walnut Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Dunbar, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.
Walnut Ridge will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Independence at 7:00 p.m. Independence comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Dunbar's road trip will continue as they head out to face Stivers School for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
