UIC College Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Noble Street College Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.
UIC College Prep's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tyrah Jenkins, who scored eight points, and Aliana Gonzalez who scored six points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gonzalez has scored all season.
Noble Street College Prep found their leader in underclassman Ariana Bahena, who scored ten points along with three steals. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. Olivia Moore-Bozeman was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds.
UIC College Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Noble Street College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. UIC College Prep will take on Butler at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Butler presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than UIC College Prep in Illinois (Butler is ranked 78th, while UIC College Prep is ranked 556th). As for Noble Street College Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against The Noble Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Noble Academy and Noble Street College Prep are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
