Mariner hasn't had much luck against North Fort Myers recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tritons will head out to take on the Red Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Mariner had lost four straight headed into Thursday's matchup, but Rylie Moore didn't let it get to five. The Tritons narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bonita Springs 3-2 with plenty of help from Moore, who had 27 aces and eight digs. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served eight or more in each of the last four games she's played.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mariner got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 26-24, 23-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-9.

Mariner's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Janaira Rodriguez led the charge by getting 21 kills and ten digs. Those 21 kills gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Jayda Hutchins was another key player, getting 12 kills, 12 digs, and one block.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Fort Myers, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Ida Baker on Thursday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 22-25, 25-13, 25-18.
Mariner better focus on containing Aliyah Santiago and Bayli Sealey as the pair were huge in North Fort Myers' win. Santiago had four digs and four aces, while Sealey had three aces.
North Fort Myers was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. They are 12-2 when they serve at least ten aces.
Mariner's record is now 12-13. As for North Fort Myers, their record now sits at 15-6.
Mariner suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to North Fort Myers in their previous matchup on Monday. Can the Tritons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
