Video: Outfielder takes on fence for catch of the year candidate
Watch a New Jersey outfielder sell out for one of the best catches we've seen in a long time.As the son of a member of the College Football Hall of Fame,
Kumar Rocker of
North Oconee (Bogart, Ga.) is not surprisingly, considered a defensive line prospect. However, it's on the baseball diamond that Rocker is viewed as the nation's No. 1 overall prospect.
At 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds, Rocker is an imposing presence on the mound. His father Tracy played football at Auburn and was an All-American for the Tigers. Kumar has hit 94 mph on his fastball and his overall athleticism has scouts impressed with his projectability.
Rocker also tops MaxPreps' list of the Top 50 junior baseball players in the nation.
Joining Rocker on the list are
Brice Turang of
Santiago (Corona, Calif.) at No. 2,
Joseph Gray of
Hattiesburg (Miss.) at No. 3,
