Westwood Christian found their leader in underclassman Michael Vilmenay, who scored 19 points along with four steals. Vilmenay has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Gallego, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Westwood Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Reagan, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westwood Christian will take on Downtown Doral at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Reagan, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Monsignor Pace at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Monsignor Pace focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
