Kingsway is 7-2 against Washington Township since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Dragons will take on the Minutemen at 4:00 p.m. Kingsway's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Washington Township's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
If Kingsway beats Washington Township with six runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Dragons walked away with a 6-1 victory over Timber Creek Regional on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.
Killian McCaffrey tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cameron Stephenson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Kyle Shields was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Washington Township came into Wednesday's contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Cumberland 10-0 on Wednesday. The Minutemen not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 14th (when they won 10-0).
Giovanni Christinzio was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Luke McKenty, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Washington Township always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Kingsway's record is now 13-6-1. As for Washington Township, their record now sits at 5-14.
Kingsway came out on top in a nail-biter against Washington Township when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
